Betaine HCl

What is it? (physiology and clinical effects)
Betaine HCl is used to increase stomach acid levels, in individuals with low levels.

Clinically relevant conditions:
  1. Angina
  2. Acne Rosacea
  3. Anemia
  4. Asthma
  5. Candidiasis
  6. Food sensitivities
  7. Gallstones
  8. Irritable Bowel Syndrome
Food Sources:
Betain HCl is derived from sugar beets.

Individuals with food sensitivities, and poor digestive function are likely to have low stomach HCl.
